If you are having air-condition then take are to keep blanket in the stroller to save your baby from change in air temperature.

For temperature sensitive baby layers work well as they are easy to put on or take it off. Therefore putting an onesie underneath warmer clothing is a great way to combat shifting climates. Therefore it can be concluded that layers work well in almost any weather condition.

Babies can still be messy when they sleep, but are usually nowhere near as messy as when they’re up and around. In warm enough climates the same style of on sides that are used for baby’s daytime activities can double as sleepwear, but if the temperature is cooler you’ll want heavier knit PHs or similar sleepwear.

Dressing up Baby

The outdoor baby wear is where the parents really get to shine. Here is where you can utilize the cute and adorable stuff that was given as shower gifts or that you just couldn’t resist picking up during a routine trip to Wal-Mart. These items should still be examined for practicality, making sure that straps, snaps, bows and such do not interfere with diaper changing or cause discomfort to the infant, but you’re a little freer to show off. After all, everyone wants to coo over an adorable baby. When the adorable baby is adorably dressed, the cooing is that much sweeter.

Once you know what type of baby outfit you are going to buy, it's always good to shop for one size bigger than what the baby is currently wears. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that babies grow very quickly. Buying one size ahead will save you a lot of money in the long run and the baby can still wear clothes that are a little baggy!

If you are buying an outfit for a party, make sure that you buy darker colored clothing for the baby. Darker colors hide stains better and won't need cleaned as often.

When in doubt you can err on the side of caution. Buying cloth baby wipes and spit up cloths can be a life saver to a new parent. Baby cloths are usually sold in a pack of 12 plain white cotton cloths. They are great for catching any food or liquid that often comes out of a baby. You would be surprised how many baby cloths parents can go through and buying four or five dozen can be an ideal gift.

You can find high quality used baby clothes, often getting as many as 4 or 5 outfits for the price of a new one. Since babies grow so fast, often their outgrown clothes show little to no wear. Stores like Babies-R-Us and Kid to Kid have a large selection. You can always look in your local papers and online discount suppliers for any type of discounts that are available for baby clothing as well.

Regardless of the occasion for your purchase, when buying baby clothing, make sure that you talk to the workers at the stores you shop at. They have had a lot of experience in selling these clothes, and they will be sure to help you find exactly what you are looking for.

4. Warm clothes: Add some warm clothes like sweaters and fleecewear in your baby’s wardrobe because they need a lot of protection from cold weather.

5. Caps and hats: Maybe not several of them, but buy a couple of caps to keep the baby’s head out of the wind.

6. Mittens: In winters you can’t do without them but keep some cotton ones for the summers so that the baby doesn’t scratch itself with its own nails. Babies do that, seriously.

Children’s Clothes Then And Now

As the father of two young children and as a husband of a wife who loves to shop for children's clothes, I often find myself comparing the clothes my kids where to the clothes I used to where when I was their age. Growing up in the late 70’s and early 80’s I often find it somewhat comical when I make these comparisons. Style not withstanding, cost and brand themselves are nothing like they once where.

It really wasn’t until our youngest was born a couple of years ago that I began to find myself thinking of what I used to wear, especially since my wife starting digging up old baby pictures of the both of us. I generally find the comparisons humorous especially when dealing with baby clothes but even the normal everyday play wear of children in my day would be considered tacky by the standards of twenty years ago.

When my wife starting bringing home baby clothes for our youngest, I immediately thought of the horrible 70’s nosies my parents put me in. While looking at my own baby pictures I noticed that my parents put me in things that where bright and multi-colored. The nosies in particular where fashioned after the jersey’s that everyone seemed to be wearing in those days. The chest was one color, while the sleeves where another color. To be perfectly honest I didn’t find one picture of myself in anything fashionable even by 70’s standards which continue to reverberate in my mind whenever I look at the children’s clothes we bring home.

With our oldest who is a boy I find myself laughing when I think of how his jeans differ from mine. When I was six years old my jeans where bell bottoms, corduroy, and I wore Tough skins exclusively! In those days nothing beat a good pair of jeans with huge patches over the knees. Every cool kid had a few pairs of Tough skins to sport on the playground. These days my son only wears Levis and pitches quite the fit should we suggest he try and where something different.

I think perhaps the biggest difference in childrens clothes then and now is the shorts. Even adult shorts have changed so much that the shorts of yesteryear have gone far beyond the “tacky” barrier. My son and even my youngest enjoy wearing things like Dickie's and what not however in the late 70’s I remember wearing disco shorts to school along with some variant of a multi-colored shirt. Why our shorts where so short I’ll never know but perhaps they where short so that us kids could pull up our stripped socks as high as we could!

I’ve always been a fairly fashion conscience person throughout my whole life and while I know that styles come and go with time it really blows my mind to see just how much things have changed when it comes to baby clothes and even children's clothes. I once laughed at the clothes my father wore when I was as young as my kids and I’m sure they do the same now though I’m one of the jeans and t-shirt dads. I guess fashion is actually just a sense of age and time.
